Like all good adventures, this one started off with pie (pear pie to be exact). And roasted turkey. And creamy mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, farmer’s market vegetables, cranberry sauce, apple and blackberry crisp and ice cream. We gave thanks for the seasonal abundance of food, and the gathering of family and friends. Then we ate. And ate.
Later in the evening we made a plan to go for a hike the next morning in order to add some balance to our weekend and explore a new area. When the next morning arrived too early, I still felt full from the previous day’s feast. A cup of tea did the trick to get me moving.
