Our close friends are coming in for a visit this weekend so right now, the house is under a deep-clean schedule. We have many visitors every month but I think it could be the nesting hormones kicking in and making me feel the urge to scrub random spots in the house (clearly, I need to move the dryer and vacuum underneath it) . In the photo above, you'll see a photo of an Apotheker's Bee Sweetened Goods chocolate bar. Indeed, I have sampled some and it is delicious! I have included it in the photo as the packaging is just so pretty!
Girls: The Final Season
I have been avid watcher of Girls, since it began. Set in New York City, it is a drama-comedy that focuses on what happens after university and provides both the starry feeling that the city evokes and the harsh realities of being in your 20s. Sadly, but fittingly, this is the final season. This past Sunday, the first episode of the last season played and now everyone is going a bit crazy. Largely billed as “’Girls’ grows up’, I think this season will have a lot to offer its audience. I am also excited to what Lena Dunham, now a household name, has planned next.
Well-Made Basic Maternity Clothing
Before my pregnancies, the fashion images of pregnant women made me look forward to the day when I could “dress my bump”. My pregnancies have taught me that it is not near as glamorous as Pinterest alludes to. Maternity dressing can be either frumpy or quite expensive. The options out there have certainly increased since my first pregnancy but still, I am hesitant to spend too much money on maternity clothing as I know I will not be very interested in wearing them postpartum. I also do not want to add to landfills through buying cheap, ill-made clothing. However, I have found it necessary to purchase several items that I can wear over and over. I am very pleased with a purchase that I made in early January from the American company, Storq. In a week, I wear my Storq black dress two to three times. Their website provides great examples on how you can switch up your wardrobe. If it doesn’t get too stretched out, I could see myself wearing it postpartum as it is easy to wash and care for.
